CAG Submissions Suspended to Develop a Better Service for Memorabilia Collectors

Posted on 8/24/2023

Submissions to CAG are being suspended while its services for memorabilia and estate items are evaluated and enhanced.

Collectibles Authentication Guaranty® (CAG®) is suspending its authentication and preservation services for memorabilia and estate items as the Certified Collectibles Group® (CCG®) works to develop a better experience and enhanced certification services for collectors of memorabilia.

CAG was established in 2018 as an expert and impartial certification service working directly with collectors, estates, artists and museums to preserve the authenticity and provenance of artifacts, memorabilia and estate items at the source. The first collection certified by CAG was the Armstrong Family Collection, which contains thousands of items from astronaut Neil Armstrong and his immediate family.

Since then, CAG has certified many notable artifacts associated with historical figures, celebrities and famous events, such as George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Marilyn Monroe, Walt Disney, William Shakespeare, Muhammad Ali, the Wright Brothers’ first flight and the Nintendo World Championships.

CCG is proud of the role CAG has had in preserving history through the collections it has certified, and looks forward to offering world-class memorabilia authentication services again soon.
